Summary:

Fuxin Coal Mine Methane Utilization Project (hereafter referred to as the project) is located within the Haizhou District, Fuxin city, Liaoning province, P.R. China. The project is owned by Fuxin Order Fuel Gas Co., Ltd. aimed to use CMM currently drained for safety reasons and vented directly to the atmosphere instead of fossil fuel for local industry. It is planning to supply 40.5 million m3 pure methane to its users.

Without implementation of the project, the baseline scenario is the same as the scenario existing prior to the implement of the project i.e. that all CMM would be released to the atmosphere, the similar thermal energy generated for users would be supplied by fossil fuels which is mainly coal in Fuxin city. The project activity would achieve GHG emission reduction by the following methods, the estimated annual GHG emission reductions are around 479,051 tCO2e.

Summary:

Ekarat Pattana Co., Ltd. (EPC) has the production capacity for 230,000 litres of ethanol per day1, using molasses by-product as the raw material from Kaset Thai sugar mill (KTIS). The ethanol plant had an average production at 160,000 litres of ethanol per day and discharges about 1,650 m3 of wastewater per day2 with an average 204,184 mg/l COD3. The wastewater is currently directed to the ventilation covered lagoons that are anaerobic without biogas recovery. The water with an average 150,386 mg/l COD4 is then taken out for land application in the dry season, and composted with filter cakes from KTIS.

Summary:

The proposed Biogas from Wastewater Management by Palm Power Green Co., Ltd (“the proposed project activity”) will be implemented at the palm oil mill of A.S.T. Palm Oil Co., Ltd. (“the mill”) located in Bang Saphan Noi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province in the South of Thailand. The proposed project activity is being implemented by the Palm Power Green Co., Ltd (“PPG”), a subsidiary of A.S.T. Palm Oil Co., Ltd.

The mill produces crude palm oil from fresh palm fruit bunches (FFB) with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour. The mill had operated at 256,648 tons of FFB per year1 or 53 tons of FFB per hour at 16 working hour per day and 300 working day per year2 and discharges about 428 m3 of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) per day3 with an average 82,910 mg/l COD4. The production process also generates decanter cake at about 26 tons per day with 70% moisture5, which is currently transferred to the plantations and dumping.

Summary:

Hunan Chuangyuan Primary Aluminium Smelter System Renovation Project (hereafter referred to as the “Project”) developed by Hunan Chuangyuan Aluminium Co.,Ltd (hereafter referred to as the “Project Developer”) is located in Changde City, Hunan Province in China (hereafter referred to as the “Host Country”).

The Project activity includes the optimization of technical conditions of 240kA and 300kA prebaked aluminum reduction cells. The renovation of this smelting technology will reduce electricity consumption by 550kWh per ton Aluminum, reduce dust and PFCs emissions, and lower noises from the smelters. The project is therefore expected to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by an estimated 127,166 t CO2e per year during the crediting period. The baseline of the Project is the continuation of the current 240kA and 300kA prebaked aluminium reduction cells for the historic capacity without the implementation of any control measures.

Guizhou Yanhe Guanba 18.9MW Hydropower Station Project (hereafter referred to as “the project”) is located in the upper reach of Xiaohe River, which is the first branch of WuJiang River, Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province, People‟s Republic of China.The total installed capacity of the project is 18.9MW (3•6.3MW). Summary:

Zhaotong Niulanjiang Huangjiaoshu Hydropower Project (the proposed project activity) is located inQiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. The proposed project is developed by YunnanHaolong Industrial Group Huangjiaoshu Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. (the project developer). The proposed project activity is to install and operate 3 hydro-turbines with a capacity of 80 MW each; And the total installed capacity will be 240 MW. The expected annual equivalent full load operating hour is 4600 hours with Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 52.5%. Once fully operational, the proposed project activity is expected to deliver 1,045,653.6 MWh of electricity per year to the South China Power Grid (SCPG). The purpose of the proposed project activity is the generation of electricity from renewable resource and the supply of this electricity to the SCPG.

The project scenario is the installation of 240 MW of renewable energy power generation capacity, and the supply to SCPG of 1,045,653.6 MWh of electricity generated from renewable energy. The baseline scenario, which is the same as the scenario existing prior to the implementation of the proposed project activity, is the generation of electricity by grid-connected power plants. As the SCPG is dominated by thermal power generation, the establishment of the proposed project activity will lead to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions. Summary:

Sichuan Xinjihong Soda Recovery Project (hereafter referred to the Project) is located in Lingshi Town, Pengshan County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, P. R. China. The Project is managed and operated by Sichuan Xinjihong Paper Industry Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as the Project Owner).

There is a bamboo pulp production line with the total pulp production capacity of 68,900 t/yr in Sichuan Xinjihong Paper Industry Co., Ltd. Being operated at the full load, about 620,100 t waste black liquor with the solid substance concentration of 13% will be generated. The current situation is: all waste black liquor is treated by the existing waste water treatment system with no caustic soda recovery, and all the caustic soda consumed in pulp production would are purchased from in-country facilities1, which is also the baseline scenario.

Summary:

Hechuan Yanjing Coal Mine Methane Utilisation Project, which is sponsored by Chongqing Tianhong Mining Co., Ltd (CTMC), will utilize the coal mine methane currently being vented to atmosphere for power generation. Gas engine type power generations will be installed at Yanjing coal mine with an aggregate installed capacity of 6 MW. The produced electricity will deliver to the Central China Power Grid (CCPG). Therefore, the baseline scenario, which is the same as the scenario existing prior to the implementation of the proposed project activity, is the generation of electricity by grid-connected power plants.

As the CCPG is dominated by thermal power generation, the establishment of the proposed project activity will lead to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions. Following the baseline methodology. The expected electricity generated by the proposed project is 40,800 MWh per year and the emission reductions are estimated to be approximately 174,925 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) per year once the proposed project activity is fully operational.

The proposed project will set up the collecting system for the kitchen waste in Lanzhou city. All the kitchen waste that would be left to Xijiping Landfill will be treated by way of anaerobic digestion. The methane from anaerobic digestion would be utilized for generation. The residual waste from the digestion will be composted aerobically. Meanwhile the waste water will be treated by means ofair ammonia stripper.

The proposed project will install two sets of 1.2 MW biogas cogeneration engine and the estimated annual generation is 15,300MWh. All the generation will be fed into Northwest Power Grid and the heat will be the source of heat supply for the operation.

Summary:

Gansu Boyu 4th Level Hydropower Project (here after referred to as “the project”) is a new built hydropower project, locating in Boyu Village, Zhouqu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province, Province, P. R. China. The project is invested and owned by Zhouqu County Kaiyuan Hydropower Development Co, Ltd. The project implementation was commenced in July, 2008. The total installed capacity of the project is 12 MW (4 MW°—3). The annual power generation and net electricity generation of the project are forecast to be 61,250 MWh and 60,031 MWh respectively. The surface area1 of flooded area at the full reservoir level of the project is 0.2 km2, thus the power density of the project is 60 W/m2 .The generated electricity will be delivered to regional power grid i.e. Northwest China Power Grid (NCPG) which is a fuel-fired power plants dominant power grid.

Zhenkang Ma’anshan 40MW Hydropower Project (hereafter referred to as the Project) is developed by
Zhenkang Huihua Hydropower Co., Ltd.. The Project is located at the up-river of the Nanpeng river in

Summary:

Daxia River Bundle Small Hydropower Project (hereafter refers to “the proposed project”), is a bundle hydropower project consisting of Diwuer, Kajiaman and Fuhuang second cascade hydropower projects, located on the tributary of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, P.R.China. The Hubei Loushui jiangpinghe Hydropower Project (hereafter referred to as the “Project Activity”) lies at the Loushui River, Hefeng County, Enshi Tujia-Miaos Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. The Project Activity is developed and operated by Hubei Huaqing Hydropower Generation Co., Ltd. (the project owner).

The Project Activity is a diversion type hydropower project with installed 450 MW electricity ouput capacity and 2,142hours expected annual operation hour, which will grossly generate 963,800MWh and the net electricity supplied to the grid of 958,981 MWh per year. At full water level the surface area of the reservoir is 20.64 km2 and the corresponding power density is 21.8 W/m2.

Summary:

CGN Damao 20MW Grid-connected Solar PV Power Generation Project (hereinafter referred to as “the proposed project”) is located at Bailing Town, Damao Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. The project is the 11th rundle hydropower station of the total 14 rundle stations on Wushui River, The drainage area above the dam site is 3642 km2, which comprise 86.6% of the whole drainage area of Wushui River. The project owner, Datang Huayin Huaihua Wushui River basin Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. was designated as the authorized entity to develop Hunan Huitong Gaoyi Hydropower Station in April 2008. The project was under construction when the onsite validation was conducted.

Before the implementation of the project activity, Central China Power Grid (CCPG) which is dominated by fossil fuel-fired power plants supplied equivalent electricity. Summary:

Sichuan Keguang 3rd Level Hydropower Project (hereafter referred to as “the project”) is located in Fujiang River of Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, the People’s Republic of China. The total installed capacity of the project is 22 MW. The nominal water level surface of the reservoir is 0.5 km2 and related power density is 44 W/m2.

 After the proposed project is put into operation, the electricity of 104,500 MWh will be produced each year, corresponding to 4,750 operating hours. Wuwei Fengle Solar PV Power Project (Phase I) in Gansu Province (hereafter referred as “the project”) is located at Fengle Township of Wuwei City in Gansu Province. Fang County Jimingkou Hydropower Project (here after referred to as “the project”) is a newly built hydropower project, locating in Jiudao Village, Fang County, Hubei Province, P. R. China. The project is invested and owned by Shiyan Puyuan Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. The project implementation was started in January 2010. The total installed capacity of the project is 7.2 MW (4 MW+3.2 MW). The annual power generation and net electricity generation of the project are forecast to be 31,932 MWh and 30,471 MWh respectively. Summary:

Guizhou Louxiahe Small Hydropower Project (hereinafter referred to as “the project”) is located in the downstream of Louxia River in Xinmin Town of Pan County, Guizhou Province, People‘s Republic of China. According to the Mabie River Basin Planning, there are ten cascaded hydropower project in the River Basin and the project is the fifth cascaded hydropower project in the River1. The total installed capacity of the project is 9 MW (5MW+2×2MW), the annual utilization hours are 3710h and the total area of reservoir is 0.265 km2, thus the power density of the proposed project is 33.96W/m2. After the project is put into operation, the annual electricity generation is 33,390MWh with the net electricity of 32,880MWh supplied to the China Southern Power Grid (CSPG) annually. The baseline scenario is the same as the scenario existing prior to the start of implementation of the project activity. The project has been put into operation since November 2. 2010.

Summary:

The proposed project will set up the collecting system for the kitchen waste in Lanzhou city. All the kitchen waste that would be left to Xijiping Landfill will be treated by way of anaerobic digestion. The methane from anaerobic digestion would be utilized for generation. The residual waste from the digestion will be composted aerobically. Meanwhile the waste water will be treated by means of air ammonia stripper.

The proposed project will install two sets of 1.2 MW biogas cogeneration engine and the estimated annual generation is 15,300MWh. All the generation will be fed into Northwest Power Grid and the heat will be the source of heat supply for the operation.
